ABOUT ICON SHOES AND HANDBAGS

Launched in 1999 by a Hollywood filmmaker and art collector, ICON introduced the nation to the famous "Campbell's Tomato Soup" imprinted on a leather, comfort sneaker.

ICON's use of bold color is printed on soft, supple highest-grade white leather to insure the artist's original visions. This is achieved by using our patented printing process known for vibrancy and long-lasting wear ability.

ICON begins by licensing the use of images from up-and-coming artists as well as the Masters like Monet, Van Gogh and Klimt; thereby supporting the artist's livelihood and creations with royalties paid to the artists for every product sold.

Each ICON product or "conversation starter" involves a laborious and costly process to manufacture and thereby becomes its own unique, wearable, work of art.

As an ICON collector you can express your own individual style in your own artistic taste.

Welcome to the world where art collector meets fashion ICON.

HOW ICON'S ARE BORN

As with all manufacturers, ICON must produce the latest styles and features of each product every season. In addition, ICON must research, procure and reproduce the great works of art paying royalties to each artist that we license.

ICON takes the art research and procurement very seriously, spending countless hours deciding on the art that will correctly represent the customers taste and make the right fashion statement. Once the art has been selected, the ICON graphic artists go to work reproducing the art in varying sizes and shapes to fit the patterns of the individual products. The next steps involve printing and reproducing the print onto the purest, white, high-grade leather, respecting the artist's original colors as well as insuring a product worthy of normal wear and tear and enduring quality.
